Intuit wants to make sure they know how to budget, keep, and manage the money they make from all those TikTok manufacturer deals one day in honor of Financial Literacy Month in April. More than half of Gen Z children want to become virtual celebrities, according to a new Morning Consult surveys.

With Intuit for Education, a free program for students and educators, which launched this month, Intuit is attempting to empower the first generation of financially savvy students.

According to a survey of 2, 000 high school students conducted by the financial technology platform, 85% of students want to learn more about financial topics in class. Among those who do learn about finances in school, 95% found it helpful. However, few students receive financial education in school.

In order to encourage all schools to spend an hour studying finance during Financial Literacy Month, Intuit announced the Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge last week to close that gap.

Intuit for Education provides free personal and business finance courses to high school teachers and students. The courses include interactive lessons and simulations powered by Intuit products — TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma and Mailchimp.

With more than 150 hours of customizable curriculum, Intuit for Education offers easy- to- use resources for educators to teach essential skills like budgeting, saving, managing credit, and understanding basic finances. Teachers can also use free live and on-demand professional development content, such as webinars and podcasts, to make use of these resources.

Schools that sign up for the first-ever Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge will receive plug-and-play lesson plans based on the Intuit for Education curriculum. Intuit Prosperity Quest, an interactive online game that makes learning important financial concepts like taxes, credit, and investments fun and relevant for students, is also included.

“Without personal finance knowledge, students struggle to make informed financial decisions, jeopardizing their long- term financial success after graduating”, Dave Zasada, vice president of Education and Corporate Responsibility at Intuit, said in a statement. We are aware of the value of financial education. According to our survey, 95% of students who receive financial instruction at school find it helpful. Intuit recognizes our unique opportunity and has established a goal to assist 50 million students in becoming more financially literate, capable, and confident by 2030 as an organization that has been driving prosperity worldwide for 40 years.

As part of the Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge, schools can compete to win a celebration worth up to $25,000, $50, 000, or $100,000, depending on the size of the school.
