Out of the 150+ children and young adults in The Dharavi Dream Project, Saniya M (18) and Ayush aka Kavikaar (19) have become the first duo to release an EP (a small collection of music).
Tiger Baby Records, a collaboration between audio artist Ankur Tewari and artists Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, produced Baccha Kisko Bol Raha Hai. On February 2, it became accessible on YouTube and another streaming services.
While Kavikaar grew up admiring the writings of well-known artists like DIVINE, Naezy, and Emiway Bantai, Saniya draws inspiration from her writing.
The Dharavi Dream Project was founded ten years ago by the now-deceased Samir Bangara and Dolly Rateshwar in collaboration with two Mumbai hip-hop crew. It has developed into a fully developed action of young poets, musicians, and artists today.
