The Financial Literacy Workshop began its first educational session on Saturday in the Menninger room of the Topeka and Shawnee Co. Public Library in TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW).
Setting wise goals to build a solid financial foundation was covered in the program, which also covered the fundamentals of economic psychology.
At any time, it can be difficult to manage a private budget. The goal of the factory is to reduce that stress and better equip people to meet their economic objectives.
Program Manager for Work for Success and participant Kristen Shook said, “Many of us don’t have the chance to learn about it while we are growing up.” “Perhaps our parents don’t even know themselves, or perhaps they are working too much and lack the time.” It may increase everyone’s options if we can gather this information and begin sharing it with our siblings, family, and society as a whole.
Making wise financial decisions may be challenging if you’re never prepared, according to Fatima Perez-Luthi, founder and CEO of Grind Coaching and Consulting.
It will be much easier for you to make bad choices if you aren’t informed and lack the necessary training or history, according to Perez-Luthi. Basically, it can range from buying more than you actually need to or deciding to take a trip rather than pay your bills. Therefore, having that knowledge of financial education and knowledge will assist you in making the best choice for your entire financial health and objectives as well as for the present.
L. A. Talbert, a member, claimed that this work gives people the chance to understand what financial freedom and peace entail.
According to Talbert, “Financial literacy is something that I need for myself because it didn’t really come from my family, so when I heard about an opportunity to be educated, I just jumped at it.” “I was a little on the cutting edge, but I was aware that I needed it for both myself and coming years.”
It’s crucial, according to Perez-Luthi, to be able to materially accomplish both your short and long-term objectives.
According to Perez- Luthi, “I hope everyone can leave this course knowing, empowered, and prepared to take action on those monetary plans that they built with us.”
It’s still not too soon to sign up.
Every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until noon, the sessions will be held in the Menninger chamber at TSCPL until March 30.
